In the shimmering veil between worlds, where the ocean MEETS the shore and ancient songs still echo beneath the waves, the Sirens ARE awakenING AGAIN.
SIRENS is an exhibition and an invitation into the mysterious world of the feminine, the mythic and the living waters. Bringing together a body of work created over many years, these paintings explore the Siren, the Mermaid, the Water Goddess, the Selkies, Serpents and She of the Sea; ancient archetypes of sensuality, sovereignty, intuition and wild feminine power.
Moving between land and water, the visible and invisible, the Siren calls us beneath the surface: into the depths of psyche, soul and the forgotten wisdom of the feminine.
These works are portals.
They speak of longing and liberation, of drowning and rebirth, of the deep remembering that happens when we surrender. Through painting, print, and sacred object, this exhibition is a living temple to the feminine mysteries of water. Here, the siren does not lure us to our end… she calls us home to ourselves. She invites us to reclaim our voice, our intuition and our sensuality.
For centuries, the Siren has been portrayed as dangerous: the seductive woman whose beauty and song lure men into the depths. Yet beneath this mythology lies another possibility. Perhaps what was feared was not the Siren herself, but the untamed feminine she represented - a woman who could not be controlled, whose voice carried power, whose sexuality belonged to herself, whose call invited us beyond the safety of the known and into transformation.
To reclaim the Siren is to reclaim the wild, intuitive, creative feminine - our sensuality, our sovereignty, our voice and our relationship with the living waters. She calls us beneath the surface, into the mysterious depths of psyche and soul, where forgotten wisdom waits to be remembered.
Her song is not a call to destruction, but a call to awakening: a summons to return to what is ancient, instinctive and profoundly alive within us. Through paintings of watery women and mythic beings, this exhibition explores the archetype of the sacred and erotic feminine that is sensual and powerful, mysterious and entirely sovereign.
I invite you to experience SIRENS - the first unveiling of this evolving body of work and the beginning of a much larger creative project and eco-system, encompassing prints, original paintings, ritual objects and the SIRENS Oracle Deck.
Join us at The Department Store, Brixton, for an immersive gathering of art, music, mythology, ceremony and celebration - a place to gather and perhaps remember something ancient within ourselves
Come. Let the waters wash over you.
Let the Sirens sing you awake.
